Beloit, Wisconsin police have used DNA technology to come up with a suspect in an old sexual assault case.
In 2003, a non-adult girl was sexually assaulted. At the time, DNA evidence was collected. This evidence was put into CODIS, a database of DNA samples from crime scenes and convicted individuals. Recently, the database returned a match. The match is a convicted felon in Illinois.
Now that police think they have their man, they are working on extracting the suspect from Illinois back to Wisconsin to face trial.
If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, contact the Waukesha personal injury lawyers of Habush Habush and Rottier, S.C. at 262-523-4700 to discuss your case and to schedule an initial consultation.
