A man has been awarded $10 million in damages after suffering severe pain following a hospital procedure. Larry Schultz, the injured man and former nuclear pharmacist, was awarded $5 million alone for his pain and suffering during the ordeal. Schultz was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1988 and has been receiving treatments to help him cope with the physical problems associated with the disease. In 2006, he returned to St. Luke’s Medical Center to have a drug injected into his spine in order to relieve spasticity.
Two drugs were injected into his spine, Baclofen and Reno-60. Court documents later revealed that Reno-60 is not meant to be used as an intrathecal injection, meaning it is not meant to be injected into the spine.
This crucial mistake has caused serious injuries for Schultz, leading to severe spasticity, seizures, and neurological damage. Shultz was forced to use a wheelchair after suffering the injury.
Daniel Rottier of Habush Habush & Rottier, S.C. represented Schultz throughout his terrible experience and was able to assist him in receiving the compensation that he deserved for his injuries.

A Wal-Mart store and the Home City Ice Co. are being sued after a woman’s fall caused her to be seriously injured. Carolyn and John Case filed the suit on May 22nd, after Carolyn sustained serious injuries from falling on water that had puddled on the floor in front of an ice machine in the store.
The couple claims that the store was negligent for allowing water to remain on the floor and for failing to provide any kind of warning sign that would make customers aware of the dangerous floor conditions. They also claim that the position inwhich the ice machine was placed was inappropriate and made the situation all the more dangerous for customers.
The couple claims that Wal-Mart and the Home City Ice Co. are liable for Carolyn’s injury since they allowed the floor to become dangerously wet. Carolyn suffered several serious injuries, however, the suit does not list them in any detail. John Case, her husband, claims to have lost the companionship, affection, and consortium of his wife.
